Good Moments, Tough Days, and Hope in the Life of a Phone Case Store Owner

Having a phone case store feels like riding a carousel you can’t stop, even when you feel sick. Sometimes you get an order, your heart skips a beat, and you feel like you’ve conquered the world. Other times, days go by with people visiting your site but buying nothing, and you start wondering if it’s all for nothing. But every single day, hope is still there, hidden in the fact that someone, somewhere, clicked on your site. Because where there’s a glance, there’s a potential customer.

Three good moments I’ve lived in this world:
First, that crazy feeling when someone likes a post featuring your design. It’s not money, but it’s moral currency. Proof that someone’s eye landed on your work, even for a second. Second, the notification when an order comes in. No matter how small it is, it fuels you to keep creating. And third, when someone visits your site for the second time. You don’t know if they’ll buy, but you know they haven’t forgotten.

Three hard moments I’ve felt:
First, having 300 sessions and zero orders. The site starts to feel like a white wall you hit your head against daily. Second, when you post something you’re proud of, and no one reacts. You start doubting yourself. And third, when you see other creators selling effortlessly and begin to compare. Forgetting that every path is different.

But beyond all that, hope is the one constant. It’s in your eyes when you post a new design. In that one lonely like that keeps you going for two more days. In that random Analytics session you spot at midnight and wonder who it was.

If hope wasn’t there, you wouldn’t open your laptop the next morning. But you do. Because deep down, there’s a part of you that still believes tomorrow could be the day. The day someone not only visits your store but makes a purchase. And from there, everything begins.

That’s the beauty. And the curse. But mostly beauty.
